Code:

                        > Press ESC in 5 seconds to skip startup.nsh, any other key to continue. > Shell>_

I have a tablet which runs windows 8.1 at the moment. I wish to reinstall to win10.
But I can't find a way to book it up to USB PE,
so I changed something in the BIOS.
Now this error comes up...
I don't know what to do..........

Need desperate help!!
PS: once this is solved, can I just use a normal win10.esd to install on this `tablet'?
does it come with the mobile functions?

THANKS!!

You should have in BIOS option Reset to default. Try with that

EDIT:
You need to verify what boot priority is set on the server. Either you can check through CIMC or directly taking console of the server. Here we can see the Actual boot order is "HDD then FDD and so on. But if you facing an issue where server falls into the SHELL> prompt you will see first boot order shall be Internal EFI shell which you need to change the boot order from bios.

Hi,

It seems that the BIOS is set to boot in UEFI mode and the flash drive you have isn't prepared for UEFI boot!

Does the tablet run a Windows 8.1 64 bits or is one of those weird ones that run a 32 bits OS?

If you can revert the changes and boot again its easier to upgrade for Windows 10 by running the Windows 10 setup from the flash drive even if you want to do a clean install, on the initial steps Windows will ask if you want to keep anything or not.

Thanks all.

Problem ``solved'' as I found the way back into BIOS.
For some reason, it couldn't for the last 3 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, it's one of those OLD and ODD one that runs x86 (32bit).

I want to update it, but at the moment, it's hard to do so without being able to TOUCH it, no keyboard, no external USB mouse.
It can only PLUG-IN one port of USB device at the same time.
So a big problem....
